The Bimel Four was a badge-engineered Elco Model 30 four-cylinder car, the rights to which had been secured in 1915 when the company making the Elco went bankrupt. A new six-cylinder Bimel car was advertised but that car does not appear to have been produced. The Bimel Automobile Company did not succeed and was finished by May 1917.
Emblem
The blue and white enamel Bimel radiator emblem shown above is rare.
Emblem collectors should beware as there are reproduction Bimel emblems with flat shiny backs and no maker's mark, The reproduction Bimel emblems have some differences in the style of the lettering around the perimeter of the emblem, see example shown below:
