Bradfield Motors, Inc. was established in 1928 for the production of taxicabs, buses and trucks but, in the event, taxicabs were the only Bradfield product. Two Bradfield models appeared at the New York Automobile Show in January 1929. Both had six-cylinder engines but differed by their wheelbase length.

The Kissel Motor Car Company was contracted for the manufacture of the Bradfield taxis at their plant in Hartford, Wisconsin. However, Kissel was in financial trouble and went into receivership in September 1930. Bradfield had orders for a number of their smaller wheelbase units for taxi companies based in Milwaukee and these were completed by Bradfield in the Kissel plant in 1931. The Bradfield did not survive beyond 1931.

Emblem

The Bradfield radiator emblem shown above is extremely rare. It appears to be a blank emblem prior the being enameled. 

The only photo of a finished Bradfield radiator emblem that I have seen is on the monochrome Bradfield taxi photo shown below, which was taken in Chicago in 1929. If you have details of the colors used in the Bradfield radiator emblem, please let me know, in order to update this post.
