The Sun was a 23 hp six-cylinder car offered in four body styles. The Sun Motor Car Company was organized in Buffalo, New York but moved to Elkhart before production started. The Sun people had high ambitions for their car but these were not realized.

Production in 1916 was 337 cars and 696 in the following year before the company was put into receivership in September 1917.
