The Direct Drive Motor Company was set up to build a motor car using a Duryea style drive system with grooved rings on the rear wheels that meshed with grooved pulleys on each end of a shaft.
Very little is known about the early years of the Direct Drive Motor Company. A few prototype Direct Drive cars may have been produced before the decision to market the car as the Champion (see Champion) in 1919.
Emblem
The white, blue and red enamel Direct Drive radiator emblem shown above is ultra rare.
