Continental Engineering Co. (1914-1915)
Chicago, Illinois
This is a Ceco radiator emblem (1914-1915) mjs Size: 64mm diameter MM: Unknown |
The Ceco cyclecar was introduced in the autumn of 1914 and was powered by a 12 hp four-cylinder engine and was offered in roadster or tandem two-seater body styles. Two commercial delivery models of the Ceco were also available.
By the time that the Ceco appeared, there had been several other cycle cars which had a poor reputation, which in turn had a negative effect on the cycle car business. The Ceco cycle car did not last long and it was all over early in 1915. Few Ceco cars were built.
Emblems
The red and white enamel Ceco radiator emblem shown above and the pale blue and green enamel version shown below are both very rare. I do not know which Ceco models carried which emblem. If you have details, please let me know in order to update this post.
