The Saginaw Motor Car Company was organized in June 1916 to build a car called the Yale. The Yale produced in 1916 was a 31 hp V-8 seven-passenger touring car with a two-passenger roadster and a three-passenger speedster with a rumbleseat added for 1917 and 1918. But the company was in trouble and production of the Yale was discontinued in March 1918.
Emblems
There appears to have been three versions of the Yale radiator emblem, an opaque white enamel emblem with Yale 8 in transparent red enamel, see above, a transparent blue enamel emblem with Yale 8 in opaque white enamel, and dark blue enamel emblem with metal letters, see examples shown below. The exact dates of use of these emblems is not known. All Yale radiator emblems are very rare.
