The Princeton was intended to be Billy Durant's "second Cadillac" and a prototype was built and introduced at the New York Automobile Show in January 1923. The Princeton was powered by a six-cylinder Ansted engine and it was planned to offer the Princeton in several different body types. A few test cars were built in Muncie, Indiana in 1923 but production did not follow and the project was abandoned by 1924.
Emblem
The yellow and black enamel Princeton radiator emblem shown above is extremely rare.
Emblem collectors should beware as there is a Pulfer reproduction Princeton emblem, which has none of the three-dimensional detail found in the original emblem, see example below:
