The Viking was an 81 hp V-8 automobile introduced as an up-market companion car to the Oldsmobile (see Oldsmobile) and was offered in a variety of body styles. The emblem was a stylized "V" representing both the V-8 engine and the name Viking. The Viking was a fine car but the Great Depression resulted in serious problems for Oldsmobile and the Viking was discontinued at the end of 1930.
