The Oneida Motor Truck company began building trucks in 1917 with models ranging from 1-ton to 3-1/2-tons. A 5-ton model was added in 1919. Oneida also built a series of electric trucks from 1920 to 1922.
The company was reorganized in 1924 due to financial problems. The new Oneida Manufacturing Company truck line consisted of 2-ton, 2-1/2-ton, 3-1/2-ton and 5-ton capacity models. Oneida also produced bus chassis in 25-, 30- and 42-seat sizes.
Financial problems continued to affect Oneida and the company was reorganized again in 1928, this time as the Oneida Truck Company. Production fell to a few trucks each year and the stock market crash brought an end to Oneida in 1930.
Emblems
The first Oneida trucks from 1917 to 1919 carried a round shaped, cast metal radiator emblem mounted on the front of the radiator tank top, see example shown below:

This is the painted, cast metal Oneida radiator emblem shown above at the top of this post. This Oneida radiator emblem is rare.
Some Oneida models had protective grilles in front of the radiator, which obscured the emblem, see example shown below:

Some models also displayed the "Oneida" name on a nameplate mounted on the front of the radiator grille, see original illustration below taken from an Oneida advertisement:

Some Oneida truck models also displayed the "Oneida" name on hood side nameplates, see illustration shown below, again taken from an Oneida advertisement:

There was a change in Oneida radiator emblem by 1920 to one showing the "Oneida" name in a rectangular frame with an arrow passing through, and a lower radiator screen allowing the radiator emblem to be seen, see Oneida truck illustration shown below from an Oneida advertisement. If an example could be found, this Oneida radiator emblem would be very rare.

I do not have photos of this Oneida hood side nameplate. If you have good photos of this Oneida hood side nameplate, please let me know, in order to update this post.
The Oneida truck radiator emblem was changed again in about 1925. The following photo of a surviving 1928 half ton Oneida truck shows a completely different and rather unusual radiator emblem in the form of a painted, cast rectangular plate with the "Oneida" name at the top and nothing below. This Oneida radiator emblem is very rare.
