The Triumph Motor Car Company was organized in Chicago in 1907 by John H. Behrens with Eric B. Christopher and his brothers responsible for the marketing. The Triumph was a four-cylinder automobile offered initially as a 30 hp two-passenger runabout or a 45 hp five-passenger touring model both with four-speed sliding gear transmission and shaft drive. 

The Triumph featured a compressed air starter operated by a switch and a foot button, which was made the centre of Triumph advertising with slogans such as "Starts Without Cranking" and "No more cranking-start your motor from the seat".

However, all was not well, because in August of 1907, the company was sold and the new owners seemed to be more interested in some other cars that they planned to build than the Triumph. The price of the Triumph was gradually reduced, presumably to try to attract sales. But, it was all over for the Triumph in 1912.

The Triumph was advertised strongly in 1907 and advertisements showed the "Triumph" logo script, see example shown below:

The Triumph carried a brass script in the style of the script logo mounted on the radiator core, see example shown above at the top of this post. Original Triumph radiator scripts are very rare.
